KindaJobs is a local home-services directory run by a small team in Brooklyn. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, and how to get it removed. No dark patterns, no fine print you need a lawyer for.

What we collect

How we use it

We use your information to do one thing: connect you with a local pro.

The honest version: when you request a quote, we share your request and contact details with the local pro (or a few matched pros) so they can reach you — and often the KindaJobs team makes that introduction personally. Pros may pay KindaJobs for being connected to a customer. That’s how the service stays free for you.

We do not sell your information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone outside of connecting you to a pro for the job you asked about.

Business profiles are public by design

If you list your business, the details you submit are meant to be shown publicly on your profile — that’s the point. The one exception: your email address is never shown publicly. It’s only how we reach you. Your exact travel radius is also kept private — it only controls how far away customers can find you.

Photos

Any photo you upload is re-encoded in your browser before it leaves your device, which strips out location (GPS) and camera metadata. Please don’t upload photos that show faces, house numbers, license plates, or anything you wouldn’t want public — we review project photos before publishing them, but you know your photos best.
